What are you playing?

You using the "EA Container" addon, too?
Is there one? I don't go to the EA website enough to care about it much. Do they have little cookie spies on all the websites like FB does.
FB Container blocks all of those FB cookies on every site on the web. All of the ads the FB serves up to me now are so generic because it no longer knows what I'm looking at.

I hope I'm making sense. I had a bloody mary with lunch ;)

"You are generous with WooHoo."
Well I guess that's better than keeping it all to yourself.

What immediately sprang to my mind was:

Phil Ken Sebben: (Reading magazine) "Are you a generous lover?" I'd like to think so.
Peanut: (Puts hand on Phil's shoulder) Then, you are.

As someone who doesn't replay games because I don't have time to play the new games I have so it feels silly, the Bioshock collection was an amazing purchase. These games are my sweet spot of action-driven, single-player shooter and story. It's surprising how much I want to get back to them (although part of that is for sure escapism right now).

Castlevania: Symphony of the Night on Android

I've never played this one before, so I can't really compare the port to the original experience. I'm experiencing period slowdown, but I have a crappy phone. The only big problem I can see is that you can't remap a controller. Luckily my controller works just fine, but I know Android is very hit-or-miss when it comes to controller support. I have no idea if it's playable with touchscreen controls, but it works great with my 8Bitdo NES30 Pro.

I'm enjoying the game a lot, even though I kinda suck at it. I had a really rough start until I started getting some OP items.
Finished C:SotN today, and it was really good. I can see why it's a classic. The graphics are lovely, some of the bosses are just crazy, there's a lot to explore and do, and it mostly functions well. Comparing it to Super Metroid, though, SotN is definitely quantity vs quality. The makers pretty clearly threw a ton of ideas at the game, just to see what would stick, and a lot ended up just being nearly pointless.

Did they have to make using food and potions so damn complicated? Food is rare, and to use it you have to equip it in your hand in place of your weapon, then throw it on the ground, then pick it up before it disappears, then go back into your inventory and re-equip your weapon... Who thought this was a good idea?

I don't know how much is my sucking at the game, and how much is just everyone's experience, but I'm so damn sick of getting bounced around like a ping-pong ball, stun locked until I get bounced right back out of the room I've just entered for the n-th time. Late game I was really happy to have the power to just pass by entire rooms as a cloud of mist.

The difficulty felt wildly inconsistent to me. Lots of ups and downs in how much trouble I had getting through any one section of the game.

I don't think it sucks, it's just not as good as the other games. Same with Origins, they're just ok.

Unless you're doing Riddler races, those suck
Doing the Batmobile at all was a deal breaker for me. I just don't want to, and there seems to be a lot of it. I got the game from PS Plus, so it isn't costing anything to ditch. It's just not worth slogging through for me.

"Way too much Batmobile" was the overwhelming complaint about the game. If you don't like the Battank, you're better off playing pretty much anything else.

That's how it appeared. It isn't the Batman game I want, unfortunately.

I have a feeling I'll be following @Fun Size in replaying Bioshock next. While I'd like to pretend I'm going to get further in Hollow Knight, I feel like I've hit three walls and I'm just not sure what to do about it.

Playing Graveyard Keeper.
I don't usually care too much for games that look like they were made with Game Maker Studio (and this one does)..but it had great reviews and was on sale. I'm finding myself enjoying it so much I don't even notice the 8 bit looking graphics.

Practically everyone I know who's played the game has said the same thing: it's great, fun and a good entry in the genre...But it overstays its welcome and everyone burns out eventually.

Well, I can say that I'm already kinda tired of the "grave keeping" part of my job ;) Luckily, you hit a point where you can kinda choose whether or not to do that part, so I only do it when I need some extra cash--or some crafting ingredients I can carve off a body

Because FF7 Remake might as well cost as much as the Steam VR rig for me right now, I'm playing Doom 2016 and hooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooly fuck did I forget how much better it was than Doom Eternal. Night and ufckig day.

Got maybe twenty minutes in and said nope.

Which is a shame, since the first two games fucking rule my Grayson.

Arkham Knight really sucks.
My disagree tag there is with utmost respect. I don't think it's bad at all. I find I get pulled back into it once in awhile. Not to say there aren't plenty of issues with it. The tank stuff is too much sometimes. The story is disappointing. But the improvement on the previous base mechanics like fighting and stealth are top notch. And I have to admit I like rumbling around Gotham in the Batmobile, tank stuff notwithstanding.

Question, who did you beat to finish the game?

Middle-earth: Shadow of War (side note: I don't know why, but the spelling of "Middle-earth with a lower case E for Earth bugs me)

I've been re-installing some AAA games that were previously a little taxing on my old computer. Not taxing to the point that I couldn't play it, but taxing enough I couldn't play it on the highest settings. Like this, Arkham Knight, Shadow of the Tomb Raider, etc. Anyway, I decided to give this game a second chance after giving up on it the last time. I liked Shadow of Mordor, but I didn't like the idea of doing the same thing for like half a dozen huge areas (mind-controlling orbs, building army, raiding fortress). It was fun the first time, but then I saw the game wanted me to do it again multiple times and that just didn't feel like fun to me.

But now that I'm into it, I will admit that it does get repetitive as I had thought, but I guess my mood has shifted on that. I'm still laughing at the various personalities of the orcs. Though I've sadly yet to encounter a singing or poet orc that I've seen in some videos. The story and characters are still dull as fuck and I find I skip more cut scenes than not. It's so strange how they put so much effort into the personalities of the orcs but couldn't take the same effort into making the main character remotely interesting. I also find, now that I've unlocked all my abilities, and have the sub-abilities that I want, that I find I'm not spending my level-up points to further upgrade. There's maybe one or two sub-abilities I'm waiting to unlock, but that's it.

Still, I don't know. I find I've gotten into this game unlike the last time I played it. Can't really explain why.
