[News] The USA Police State will never satisfy its lust for beating, gassing, and imprisoning minorities

That one on the left is so far wrong that I thought it had to be staged. But nope.
For anyone wants the scant amount of information available: Elk Grove officer fired, another quits following use of force incident caught on video. At least, I think this is the same incident.

The official statements were also pretty appalling, "This failure [to report the use of force] not only did not allow for a thorough review of the force but exposed the city to unnecessary liability." That's the entire focus of the statement from the Chief of Police, how force is necessary, and that they'll review it to make sure it was necessary, but emphasizing that force is necessary.

We just had a shooting in Portland. Two magats ran by on foot and shot a BLM supporter. It doesn't look good. Preliminary reports suggest that this is a fatality.

Edit: It is.

<ahem> Have now re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-rewatched the video. It was a shootout. The narrative that an unarmed mad was shot and killed is wrong. Both people involved in the shooting were armed, and both fired. The white dude drew first, but wasn't as good of a shot. His shooter is still alive and apparently in surgery.

So, for complete clarification. There is a dead white man who was wearing a Patriot Prayer hat on the streets of Portland, and he pulled his gun and fired first.

Right now, the best place to drop a buck or two is to our medical supplier. Every dollar is a dollar toward an IFAK, a full EMS trauma bag, or a chest seal. Cashapp is $ComradeBean and Venmo is Pinto-TheBean. And thank you.
I will most definitely do that . . . when I learn what Venmo and Cashapp is.

Hmm, 3am in America, time for Russian agents to manipulate Twitter trends. Tonight they're trying to get us to believe that #BidenRiots are a thing.

Both virtual wallet type apps that allow free/easy transferring of money from one account to another. Venmo is owned by PayPal, CashApp is owned or closely affiliated with or whatever by Apple. I've used both domestically in Belgium, I'm not sure they're also free for international transfers though.

A second angle of the video came out. It's available far and wide. If you watch it, you will see that the decedent is alive and a protest medic is preparing to apply Hyfin patches. The police then secure the scene, and when their medic arrives 40 seconds later, he's already dead.

Intentional or not, the cops created a martyr on the streets of Portland last night, and now the president's son is retweeting calls for retribution.

I have a venmo friend request out Pinto, but I'm not understanding how exactly it works. Do I need to put money in the venmo account? If so I can't find where to do so. Is it just a middleman process?

You would need to attach either your debit card (recommended, it's much fast) or your bank account info (slower, the bank has to verify the account using micro-transactions). In the app, you do this under Settings > Payment Methods. Once you've added a payment method you should have a Pay or Request button to the lower right hand corner, which will allow you to enter Pinto's information and a payment amount and choose to Pay that amount. You should not, however, need to actually move funds between your bank and your venmo account first. You'll just get a charge on your bank statement that says something like "transfer to venmo." And then you'll get a monthly statement from Venmo as well.

Edit: Pffft. It's much fast!

Okay, I guess I just need to wait for Pinto to authorize/accept my account then.

Alternatively, you can donate to me and I'll make sure money gets to good causes, if you trust me to do so.

I agree that it is an important step...but in the wrong direction.
It’s very clever, actually. What it says is, “We are not preventing your exercise of your 1st Amendment rights. But we are no longer protecting them.”

Well, given that the mayor, chief of police, and DA just gave a press conference where the mayor pledged to work together with Trump to bring an end to all of this violence, spent all of his time talking about the victim of last night's tragic and sudden violence and none about the people of Portland or their grievances, and condemned the people of Portland for allowing this violence to continue... I don't really think that's going to be an issue in Portland. I'm pretty sure we're aware of the fact that we have no rights anymore - press or otherwise.

A different mayor than this one?

A different mayor than this one?

Nope, the same one. He started his press conference by trashing Trump. and then after the DA and Chief of Police spoke, Teddy took the mic again to comment on tweets that Trump had sent specifically about the press conference, and to tell everyone that he doesn't want to be on opposite sides from Trump, he wants to work together, to bridge the aisle and solidify America while bringing an end to these horrible, violent protests.
