What are you playing?

I grabbed Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. I am very bad at Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.

Also when I fired it up and only saw eight fighters I was all like, "This is bullshit, they only gave us eight fighters, what do they expect us to pay money to buy the rest as DLC???" Then I started unlocking fighters and all became well in the world.

Took some money I got over Christmas and combined it with some I had been saving and thanks to a sale on NewEgg was able to buy a decent gaming laptop.

Intel Core i7 (9th gen) w/ a GTX 1650. 528GB SSD & 8GB of ram.

I can now play games like Path of Exile in something other than potato mode. So I reinstalled that and spent a couple of hours last night playing it and it's pretty fun so far.

Now to save up more money to get other games.

Mapping is super fun. Sadly the first time I did it was on the PS4 and it sucked so much in perma crash hell.

I liked this season, but I stopped playing as I was worn out.

Looking for excuses to get out of the house more. Started playing Jurrasic World alive, which is a lot like Pokemon Go.
Unlike Pokemon Go (in the old days, mind you--I haven't played recently), you can see creatures from at least a quarter mile away from your location. You can't try to capture them from that distance, but if there's a rare or epic creature, it totally encourages you to get off your ass and walk those few blocks to get it, which I'm liking.

I needed to stop myself from Doomscrolling so I decided to work on getting to Shadowbringers in FF14, which I was doing at a reasonable pace until I unlocked The Firmament, and now my life is tradeskills. :p

If you're up to lvl 80 in a crafter/gatherer, now's your last chance to get Saint/Beatus/Beata of the Firmament by competing in the Skybuilder Rankings! I got my sainthood last time via Fishing (and it took 100+ hours over ten days to do it and I only hit 6th). Hitting top 12 is a fucking second job, but top 100 is a manageable feat.

BTW, what's your DC/server? I'm over on Aether/Siren.

My highest is only up to 70 right now, and I'd rather just spend my time speedrunning a bunch of professions and scratching kupo cards than grinding for top 10 in ponts anyways. I'm trying to be chill.

I’ve finished the main story in Portia now and am working on kids, side quests and saving up for that final yard upgrade. There is a pregnancy debuff! -30% stamina and defense. Obnoxious and hilarious.

Our son wanted to play a game together before MH:Rise so we got Farm Together. Apparently, I’m super into pretend farming these days.

I’m also considering Friends of Mineral Town.

Finished all the main and side quests of Control. Only thing left now is the expedition DLC, but I'm going to take a break from it. Back to running poor Zagreus into the ground.

You might consider Rune Factory 4, which just recently got a re-release on Switch. I think it will have a lot of the mechanics you enjoy in a game. :)

I've been playing LEGO Marvel Super Heroes 2 and I continue to love LEGO games. The humor, the art style, the simple but enjoyable gameplay. It's just a delight to chill and play for a while and distract myself from how horrible the real world is.

One of the missions is named "Hala, is it Kree you're looking for?" The associated achievement is "Hala from the other side."

I got Rune Factory 4. I’m trying to understand why a princess would be in charge of farming, but as @HCGLNS pointed out, I’ve played games with stranger intros into daily farming etc.

Everyone and their brother was trying to rank this time, I didn't even bother, I just did whatever to raise skills. I ended up capping my botany/mining/weaving/goldsmith and got carpentry to 74 before ranking ended. (I know I can still do more crafting, just using that as my timeline) Also made decent money selling Diadem mats to the crafters who didn't want to take time out of trying to rank in a craft, so I had that going for me. Also I agree so hard that Zenos is the worst villain ever. (Also Aymeric can be my daddy)

If someone is trying to get Sainthood in crafting, I assure you that they are ether buying all their mats, being fed mats by friends in the Diadem, or both. I know that's what I was doing with my friend when I did my run for fishing: gave her the one thing my stingrays turned into that she found useful and sold the rest. You simply don't have time to do both: bare minimum for a saint run is 10 hours a day of craft/gathering for all ten days, probably more.

At this point I'm just waiting for Ishgard housing to open: I've got enough for a small and I've fuckin' earned a house in that city with all the fishing I did.

I might buy a new apartment, but I refuse to play the ridiculous camping game that is housing in this game.

It won't be camping: when Ishgard housing launches, there will be an additional 1440 housing plots (24 wards, with 60 plots divided into two subdivisions) added per a server. So on server up that day, it's less a camping day and more a race to buy/relocate to a plot in Ishgard. Other plots in other wards will likely become available at this time too as people locate to the more desirable Ishgard district. So really, housing is going to open up EVERYWHERE.

A friend convinced me to give Shadowlands a try, that I would love it.

Well, after logging in, discovering my level 110 death knight is now level 42 after the stat squish, and all his skills are gone, I leveled through the boring bfa zones until I could get to Shadowlands... And hated it.

So since I still have 27 days of subscription left, now I'm playing wow classic

Man, having Blizzard delete my account after the whole China thing last year was like a weight removed from my shoulders. I never have to be suckered into WoW ever again.

The first zone is so very blah. I've been told it gets better when you go to different zones but there's no way I'll find out because I killed my subscription.
