Well I gave her the calendar today when we met for lunch. We met halfway between our houses. At a biker bar. Now my Facebook is flooded with biker memes.
Nope. $16.50, which I don't consider too terrible. And a quarter at gumball machines for little handfulls of duck foodIs it still free entry?

They never do. It’s always just “Give me the treat! Give me the treat, or I’ll poop on your shoe!”Did the ducks offer to take the photo in return?
Nope. I had a friend visiting and one of the things we did was go to the zoo. As @Sparhawk says, all the ducks cared about was the foodDid the ducks offer to take the photo in return?
I'm pretty sure my mom shared her copies of his books with me when I was his age. That may explain some thingsThis week has been Fun Week at Li'l Z's school. It's basically like the old Color Wars, where the entire school is divided up into 4 teams, and they have physical and academic challenges each day to earn points for their color team. They also have daily "dress up challenges" (Crazy Hair Day, Team Jersey Day, etc.) that they can earn additional points for. Today's theme was "Brains Over Brawn: Dress up as a famous author, literary character, or scientist". Well, we came up with one distinctive author who could be identified visually, but also a costume that wouldn't leave him sweating. I'm also pretty sure none of the other kids are going to have the same idea!

I also told him, if any adults ask, "Mom doesn't let me read his books!". I don't need more phone calls.

It's crooked, like my glasses always are. hehHave I ever told you I love your smirk? I think you've got a great smirk.
I adored Ireland. What is your itinerary? So, I'm pretty sure I'll end up going to Ireland alone. So I got a selfie stick. And this new T-shirt. I feel like I should put on socks and sandals to complete the look

The "Marauders' Mug."It's a smirk that solemnly swears it's up to no good.
I had to google that. But as it so happens, making a crochet bucket hat is on my list. And then the look will be complete. You need a Booney hat.
I am quite OK with this characterization. The "Marauders' Mug."

I was wondering why I posted that in this thread when I was pretty sure there was a dedicated thread for it, but turns out the dedicated thread got locked in 2013 for inactivity. That sure doesn't FEEL like 9 years ago. WELPIt's been a while since I posted a picture of my workspace (at work) at least... and since I now have a de facto new desk there (taking over the desk of the guy who quit).... here it is.

Or Sixlets. Or Raisinets.I am never eating Cocoa Puffs again.
Uilleann pipes are supposed to be super difficult, but I didn't find it hard to pick up the basics because it's very similar to the whistle. The violin is exactly opposite. On the whistle, you lift fingers to go up the scale. On the violin, you put them down. When I have a brain blank, my fingers start doing the wrong thing lolWay to pick the easiest one to learn.
