The last few days have been a complete shitshow, to put it mildly.
First, they introduce the new version of verification, which includes...a checkmark AND a little thing note on your profile saying "official." Double the verfication at half the value!
When people laughed at how stupid that was when a simple checkmark was just as sufficient, that was quickly dropped.
And now, a bunch of fake but "verified" accounts (as in, they paid the $8 started cropping up. And naturally, because they looked legitimate enough, people though they were the real thing.
Oh, and Musk's next brilliant idea: turning Twitter into some kind of banking system.
Meanwhile, Tesla's stock price dropped another 7.17% just today. It's worth less than half its value only a year ago.
Oh, and the Republican that Musk personally endorsed lost.
So his week is going spectacularly.
