No, see, here's the thing: he called me a homo. It was a joke, fine, whatever, but I don't know Jake. He is not my friend. He doesn't get to do that. So I responded with a simple "Fuck you." He continued to insult me, saying he could've gone after some of my other "character flaws" instead of going for the homo thing. But even there, he's still telling me that my sexuality is a flaw, among my many other flaws. That it's something I should be ashamed of. I responded again, letting him know that it was coming off as bigoted and letting him know that yes, it did get under my skin.

Cut to this thread, where he continues to say "oh it was just a joke" shit. CDS tries to stick up for me, and Jake says that he still stands by what he said. This sent me over the edge.

I took a summer class at the School of the Art Institute a few years ago with nude models. If it makes you feel any better, artists go into the same mindset as doctors; they're not looking at the body as a sexual thing or judging it at all. It's just about reproducing it on paper as a bunch of shapes and curves, and it's sometimes easy to forget exactly what you're drawing when you're trying to get a finger or the angle of an elbow right. The atmosphere was really respectful, I thought. If it's something you're thinking about doing, you should at least try it once.

I don't know if guys like me, Jake, and Adammon are on a different wavelength when it comes to humor, but fuck, I nearly split my sides when I read that in the original thread.

He was just poking fun. I really don't see where one can become offended from that joke. Unless, of course, they're overly concerned with being p.c. and can't appreciate some blue-collar humor. I guess I'm one of those white guys who "doesn't get the N word" thing either. <shrug>
