Oh he is CLEARLY high all the time, but other characters were shown understanding him in the show. Dogs can just capable of speaking English in that world, its just a thing.
Oh c'mon, you know they all partook... Shaggy just always went overboard with it.

Wacky Racers and the Future Quest stuff looks fine, even appropriate, but the Flintstones and the Scooby Gang look horrible.

Mystery Inc. was all about subverting the rules of the rest of the series anyway.
Mystery, Inc. got a lot more entertaining when I stopped watching it as "A Scooby-Doo series" and instead kept in my head that it was a deliberate send-up of the original.
If that image represents the reality of the new series, then that's a bigger change that's waaaaay beyond even when Thomas went cgi.

DC has officially announced Rebirth, which sounds like a soft reboot. Everything aside from Action Comics and Detective Comics are reset to #1. The other two are being reset to their original numbering like they never stopped (so somewhere in the 900s, because they want that sweet, sweet #1000, as I knew they eventually would).

Really, it's just another new coat of paint. It'll still have all the same editorial problems and likely, the universe as a whole will probably be even more confusing than ever. I have no faith in this.

A few things coming out of this:
-All books will be $2.99. Which I guess is a big deal? I only buy trades, so I don't know.
-Several books will be going bi-weekly (twice a month). Yeah, I don't see that ending well at all. They have a hard enough time keeping creative teams on a monthly basis as it is.

YUP, saw it coming. They do not know what they are doing over there.

I don't pay much attention to DC, but how many reboots is that since New 52?
Counting rebirth? 1.

Of course that's a soft reboot, much like Marvel's All New All Different initiative.

If you're counting attempts at line wide creative shifts like Marvel Now, All-new Marvel Now, Heroes Initiative, etc. then 2. Rebirth and DCYou which was this past summer. It's worth noting for everyone claiming that they wanted more diverse creative books, the DCYou was a big critical success but commercial failure.

Stan Lee is 93. Frank Miller is 59.

I have a feeling there's gonna be a Brazleton for Miller soon, good lord he looks in terrrrrible health.

So I ordered the #1 Issue of Marvel Darth Vader based on reviews in this thread and it didn't disappointment. In fact, I thought it was excellent. I've already ordered the second issue. I've actually never actually bought a single comic book in my life, so this is surprising even to me.

Nice.

Yeah it's a great series, in that it helps establish a real personality for Vader as Vader, and not as Anakin. Clone Wars did a great job of that side.
