I didn't know where else to put it. The not-so-funny picture thread, I suppose, but I guess I thought political trumped it. But yes, it's horrifying that the future minds of our nation are being warped by this bass-ackwards gobbledygook pseudomath. Teaching this should be tantamount to committing assault.
I'd venture to suggest that's more of an issue of a work ethic, rather than homework specifically. University is often when you start to have to rely on your own motivation, there are no teachers around any more to kick your ass for not doing your work.
I went through the same thing when I went to university. Ended up flunking out and came back to Taiwan to study something completely different.
Well, yes, but half the purpose of homework is to instill a work ethic! That's what I meant.

Conservative talk shows are now saying that Jeb and Hilary should just run on the same ticket and create a Clinton/Bush presidential dynasty. Two terms, then Jeb takes 2 terms, then George P can take 2 terms, then Chelsea can take 2 terms etc.

Every President since Carter has had t play buddy/buddy with his successors and predecessors. Seeing them together isn't surprising.
I think it's kind of sad that THIS is the way that Republicans think they can get elected again. It's not changing policy... it's forming a fucking monarchy.
I'm pretty sure the Kennedy's would have something to say/do about that... and honestly, it would make more sense politically to marry Chelsea into the Kennedy's anyway. And who the hell would want to vote for Jeb Bush for any reason other than his name? He's a terrible governor.

My first impulse was to say nobody would vote for Jeb in the primary, but the last couple have put through Mitt Romney and John McCain, two of the least electable republicans in living memory. So.
Really, the best thing you could say about Jeb is he'd have access to the same caliber of help that GWB had... and that's more of an insult at this point any, after all the torture scandals and the books condemning them. That dream just needs to die.
