Heh, I went with Tepig when I played Black, and Emboar is pretty decent, but I decided I wanted a change this time around. Serperior looks useless, so I went with Oshawott.Grumble, grumble, grumble... have to wait until at least October...
Also, Oshawott is awesome.
Yeah, but the combination of bulk and speed means he's pretty much limited to a fast staller/supporter type. For in-game play, I prefer fast attackers that can one-shot as many opponents as possible, so I'm not constantly running back to the Pokemon Center to heal and recharge. I'll make an exception for slow but awesomely bulky pokes that can also hit things (Metagross being one of my favorites, for example), but a fast pokemon that can't hit doesn't really fit my playstyle.Serperior takes some effort. I'd usually start with Leech Seed, then use Toxic. From that point I'd Coil 3-5 times and unload a Leaf Blade when necessary. Because of Serp's excellent Speed and Defense, he works well with status ailments and as someone to stall when you need to.
That's why I have a Darmanitan. You want something that'll one-shot most Pokemon? Darmanitan with Sheer Force as his ability. Few mons can eat that Flare Blitz with the +30% from Sheer Force, on top of the bonuses from Type and Darmanitan's phenomenal strength.Yeah, but the combination of bulk and speed means he's pretty much limited to a fast staller/supporter type. Oooo, Darmanitan, good one. Might have a problem fitting it on my team though. Maybe swap out Leavanny and look for something else to counter psychics. That's why I have a Darmanitan. That being said, I can't think of a single other Fire type worth using except maybe Blaziken.
I don't think I own another game that I soft-reset so frequently. Please, Fire Emblem, release me! You're lucky I'm dead set on getting into Tharja's pants or I'd possibly think about maybe playing another game sometime perhaps.
Playing on Classic Hard, last battle has been kicking my ass. :xQuotemander Prime said:I don't think I own another game that I soft-reset so frequently.
Worse, I'm playing on Classic, so I can't do any perma-saves during battle.
I can't imagine getting that far; Classic Hard is a struggle from the outset. But a fun one--I'd be bored if it was any easier. Good luck.Playing on Classic Hard, last battle has been kicking my ass. :x
Magnazone was my choice for that, at least against the Elite Four and post game stuff. It's the strongest non-legendary pokemon (defensively) in the game and few enemies can resist a Lock-On + Zap Cannon combo. Plus it has Magnet Rise to gain ground immunity.Oooo, Darmanitan, good one. I already know I'm going to buy and try FFXIV. Am I going to regret it? Probably. Am I still going to do it? Yep.Damnit, Square, FF14 wasn't supposed to be good now. Why? Why do you keep making me take you back? You know this will end in tears, like XI, XIII and XIII-2 did.
FTFYWhy cant I get into the beta I wanna test it before I buy it. I really liked FF XI and would have kept playing it, if it werent so hard to find a good party and the Japs werent all like "Baka Gaijin!"
Clover games didn't sell worth beans. Capcom shut them down because they were losing a ton of money on the venture and they were completely within their rights to. That being said, the Clover folks have achieved much more success over at Platinum Games with Bayonetta. They are doing fine.Viewtiful Joe: Yet another awesome Clover game with a main character who WILL probably appear in numerous Capcom fighting games with NOT A FUCKING DOLLAR GOING TO CLOVER! Also a game that I am probably goint to restart three skyrillion times as this game has a rating system and I have GOCD.
Do you like Ninja Gaiden, God of War, or Devil May Cry? If so, then you'll like Bayonetta. It's full of cheesecake and yet it's still classier than God of War.Bayonetta was them? Well all right then.
On the topic I've heard mixed things about Bayonetta, how is it?
I think the gameplay is head and shoulders above God of War. After Bayonetta, I felt kind of bored playing the God of War games.
Her head is small, and her legs are twice as long as they actually should be. She was made disproportional on purpose.HER HEAD IS SO TINY
Haaaaaate.Got into the FF 14 beta. Downloading th client now.
Can't wait to see how much more they raped my childhood imminently.
Because it wasn't a cosmetic rehash, they completely changed the entire engine. If anything, the only thing they really kept WAS the art assets.Who signs up for the FF14 beta after how fucking shitty that game has been for years?
They can only dress up garbage so much. It's still garbage.
