What are you playing?

Grumble, grumble, grumble... have to wait until at least October...

Also, Oshawott is awesome.
Heh, I went with Tepig when I played Black, and Emboar is pretty decent, but I decided I wanted a change this time around. Serperior looks useless, so I went with Oshawott.

Serperior takes some effort. I'd usually start with Leech Seed, then use Toxic. From that point I'd Coil 3-5 times and unload a Leaf Blade when necessary. Because of Serp's excellent Speed and Defense, he works well with status ailments and as someone to stall when you need to.

Yeah, but the combination of bulk and speed means he's pretty much limited to a fast staller/supporter type. For in-game play, I prefer fast attackers that can one-shot as many opponents as possible, so I'm not constantly running back to the Pokemon Center to heal and recharge. I'll make an exception for slow but awesomely bulky pokes that can also hit things (Metagross being one of my favorites, for example), but a fast pokemon that can't hit doesn't really fit my playstyle.

Please, Fire Emblem, release me! You're lucky I'm dead set on getting into Tharja's pants or I'd possibly think about maybe playing another game sometime perhaps.

That's why I have a Darmanitan. You want something that'll one-shot most Pokemon? Darmanitan with Sheer Force as his ability. Few mons can eat that Flare Blitz with the +30% from Sheer Force, on top of the bonuses from Type and Darmanitan's phenomenal strength.

That being said, I can't think of a single other Fire type worth using except maybe Blaziken.

Oooo, Darmanitan, good one. Might have a problem fitting it on my team though. Maybe swap out Leavanny and look for something else to counter psychics.

I don't think I own another game that I soft-reset so frequently.

Worse, I'm playing on Classic, so I can't do any perma-saves during battle.

Playing on Classic Hard, last battle has been kicking my ass. :x

Magnazone was my choice for that, at least against the Elite Four and post game stuff. It's the strongest non-legendary pokemon (defensively) in the game and few enemies can resist a Lock-On + Zap Cannon combo. Plus it has Magnet Rise to gain ground immunity.

With the exception of trainer battles where you absolutely HAVE to have the counter pokemon types, Sawk was pretty much my go-to for the bulk of Black with whoever I felt like leveling up for buffs and debuffs.

Ahmigahd Gnomoria... in summer of year 7. Not enough coal. Never enough coal. Walling off more and more of the surface to be groves (to grow wood to coke into coal). Disabled my entrance pit-trap to let immigrants in, and 10 mant workers came in too, unfortunate coincidence. Amazingly my 5-gnome military took them out with our only casualty being an emu who got caught in the crossfire. So many raids, the grave stockpile at the bottom of the pit (which is something like 12x12 is filling up, though that may be because now I only bother to butcher the ogre corpses... the mants and goblins just pile up. Having to redesign my workshop... changing from one massive workshop space adjoining one massive generalized stockpile to smaller rooms with smaller, specialized stockpiles.

Have almost completely hollowed out level -7 for raw stone to use in building structures above ground, replacing dirt walls and ceilings throughout the living complexes with engraved floors and decorative stone walls, and statues EVERYWHERE. Kingdom worth approaching 800,000. Discovered even steel blunderbusses firing steel shot won't penetrate goblin worn steel armor.

Damnit, Square, FF14 wasn't supposed to be good now. Why? Why do you keep making me take you back? You know this will end in tears, like XI, XIII and XIII-2 did.

I already know I'm going to buy and try FFXIV. Am I going to regret it? Probably. Am I still going to do it? Yep.

I don't even know what exactly I love about the game so much, save for I'm planning to drop WoW for it. Something about it clicked for me that MMOs just haven't done lately.

Why cant I get into the beta :( I wanna test it before I buy it. I really liked FF XI and would have kept playing it, if it werent so hard to find a good party and the Japs werent all like "Damn foreigners!"

Viewtiful Joe: Yet another awesome Clover game with a main character who WILL probably appear in numerous Capcom fighting games with NOT A FUCKING DOLLAR GOING TO CLOVER! Also a game that I am probably goint to restart three skyrillion times as this game has a rating system and I have GOCD.

Clover games didn't sell worth beans. Capcom shut them down because they were losing a ton of money on the venture and they were completely within their rights to. That being said, the Clover folks have achieved much more success over at Platinum Games with Bayonetta. They are doing fine.

I think the gameplay is head and shoulders above God of War. After Bayonetta, I felt kind of bored playing the God of War games.

Bayonetta is an amazing brawler with a great character, awesome gameplay, and a funny story that knows better than to take itself seriously.

Also in before someone claims its sexist.

I really liked God of War and Devil May Cry, but had to set them to Easy. (Yes, I suck.) Would probably really like Bayonetta but don't have a system it's on.

Got into the FF 14 beta. Downloading th client now.

Can't wait to see how much more they raped my childhood imminently.

Still playing Pokemon Black 2.

Swapped out my Flaffy for a Magnetite, to eventually become Magnezone. If I'm going to have a slow Electric special attacker, I might as well go for the one that can take a few hits.

Picked up a Drilbur, to eventually become Excadrill. Because Excadrill is all kinds of sexy.

Unfortunately, this does mean that with Lucario, I now have three Steel types. So now the rest of my team's going to have to cover the Fire, Ground, and Fighting weaknesses.

Downloading 6 Gigs at 85k a second.... YEAAAAA.... that may take awhile..

And the disgusting Asian font everywhere just reeks of Square Enix...

So far so good.

Who signs up for the FF14 beta after how fucking shitty that game has been for years?

They can only dress up garbage so much. It's still garbage.

Because it wasn't a cosmetic rehash, they completely changed the entire engine. If anything, the only thing they really kept WAS the art assets.
