So I went to the doctor a few days ago... I'd been having bouts of coughing up phlegm and vomiting for months after eating certain foods. She thinks it might be a nightshade allergy, so I have to spend the next ten days without eating...
- tomatos
- potatos
- peppers
- eggplant
- Anything made from those
So why is this a problem? My family is one half Italian, one half Irish. That stuff is in like 60% of what we eat, in one form or another. And if it turns out I DO have a nightshade allergy, I'll have to turn normal food stuff I grew up on into rare treats unless I want to deal with potential choking/vomiting issues. So why is this a rant? My mother is taking it as a personal insult that I can't eat this stuff anymore (which she loves to make), like it's my fault I'm getting sick off of this and instead finding other excuses for the cause. I can't deal with her when she goes off the deep end like this, yet it's the holidays so I have to just deal with it.
Sorry it's such a bother mom. I'll just go back to vomiting so you can save your pride.
