Ha! That mom is probably/will probably be me! I'll admit, there are one or two characters that I know I've seen before, but I don't remember their names because I never played their games. I've also never owned any Nintendo system except for the original Wii, so that's not too bad for a lifetime of second-hand knowledge.
Samus is like what, 6'4"? Somewhere around there... can't really fault the little guy. I'm sure that's his story, at least.
She's 6'3" in the armor and used to be the same out of it, but they've changed it since Other M. She's much shorter than her armor now, only 5'1". This feels a bit closer to what it would realistically be if the suit is actually mechanical, but considering the power armor was built by and for 7 foot+ tall birds, they could have just made her 7' flat in the suit instead.
Honestly, it's yet another move they made to try and make Samus more marketable in Japan and Other M did do better in Japan than previous titles, but it absolutely tanked in the US.
Yeah, they ret-conned a lot of her being a big badass Amazon in favor of that Other M bullshit.
I like to just pretend Other M doesn't exist.
I gotta say, Little Mac and Samus is probably my favorite crack shipping. It almost makes sense, in a way.
I know right? Captain Falcon seems like kind of an asshole and all of the other humans are in relationships. But Mac? He's fucking adorable AND a bad ass. He's 5 foot nothing, but he's an ex-WVBA World Champion who routinely took on guys with hundreds of pounds and a foot or more him. He has literally beaten a gorilla in a fist fight. As bounty hunter who routinely fights giant monsters herself, it almost seems like common ground.
Fuck! I want to see this canon now.

So my weird-ass train of thought went something like, "It's funny. Samus has basically a latex catsuit under her armor - the Zero Suit - while Master Chief has a thick, padded kevlar bodysuit under his. Typical male armor / female armor stuff. Then again, Master Chief would look silly in a Zero Suit. Oh, man, I bet someone's done art of that."

So a fellow poster on another forum I frequent (rspwfaq.com, Scott Keith's blog) was screwed over recently. A guy messaged him privately about making a trade: a PS4 for a Wii U. That alone seems odd to me, but hey, a trade is a trade, right?
Apparently, my fellow poster sent the Wii U, which was confirmed as received today...and is now royally screwed as the guy is screwing him over. And is now claiming he "bought" a Wii U today.
I made a new account on this other forum in order to share the story, but I want this guy's name out there everywhere. Never really been the vengeful type before, but fuck, I want this guy to burn.

Scalpers are all over ebay with the Majora's Mask New 3DS XL, knocking the price up by $50 to $100. I wasn't going to get MM right away, but this feels like a dick move.
I could see that sort of thing being relatively common. A mutual agreement outside of Ebay and such. Not something I'd personally get involved with. Still doesn't change the fact that this guy is a scamming asshole.

There was a woman on the news that had something similar happen to her. She was selling jewelry on Ebay, the buyer offered to make the final purchase off-site so she could save on the Seller's Fee, and then turned around and said she received plastic bracelets instead of the $4K of gold ones she had purchased. Even though the seller had photos of the original bracelets, they found in favor of the shady buyer.
I feel bad for your friend, but a good rule of thumb is unless you're selling in person, don't exchange without an insurance, like Ebay, in place. I've had people try it on me once or twice selling on Ebay, but I had insurance and delivery receipts to back me up.
