We're making our way through the series right now. That ep was last week.Meth Dealer?
Have you tasted ketchup? Like most American food, it's really just sweet.I had a similar thought this week after someone expressed shock that savory and sweet flavors could go well together...
We're a nation that practically worships ketchup. Yes, savory and sweet can work together.
You know about ketchup? I thought I was the only one.Have you tasted ketchup? Like most American food, it's really just sweet.
Its also gross.Have you tasted ketchup? Like most American food, it's really just sweet.
Indeed, and most people put it on savory foods, like meat. Yet, are still shocked at things like Parmesan cheese ice cream.Have you tasted ketchup? Like most American food, it's really just sweet.
I know a place where you can get Sushi flavored Ice Cream....seriously.Indeed, and most people put it on savory foods, like meat. Yet, are still shocked at things like Parmesan cheese ice cream.
What? Ketchup and Sriracha are both great on their own.I don't even taste the sweetness of ketchup anymore, just the spiciness. Even then, I generally mix it with sriracha and chili powder to get the kind of flavor I want.
Or y'know, you could just eat 'em with straight Horsey. When I'd go to Arby's, I'd ask for horsey sauce as well as ketchup. They make a nice dipping sauce for the curly fries mixed together.
I'm something of a Ketchup connoisseur...What? Ketchup and Sriracha are both great on their own.
I don't like "Hunt's" brand ketchup though, it has an odd flavor.
Simply Heinz is better in every way, if you're willing to pay the surcharge for the real sugar.I learned something this morning.
What do you think of the Simply Heinz compared to the regular?
What can I say? I'm a weirdo and actually go out of my way to try and find the small brands. Generally speaking, the better the acid and vinegar content, the spicier it will be and the better it will do outside of fridge. Hell, one of the reasons restaurants buy Heinz is BECAUSE of how well it holds up outside of refrigeration. It would be a pain to put it all away every night.I am and I have. I just wanted an expert opinion. [emoji56]

What you call spicy I would call tangy and in no way related to spice. Sirracha is spicy, vinegar is not. What can I say? I'm a weirdo and actually go out of my way to try and find the small brands. That's fine, you can be wrong all you like! What you call spicy I would call tangy and in no way related to spice. Sirracha is spicy, vinegar is not.
Hunt's ketchup is red blasphemy.

Some companies make special spicy brands too. For instance, Heinz makes a brand with Tabasco built in. It's okay... I prefer sriracha to Tabasco.
I've heard good things. I can't get it out here in Ohio. No Whataburgers so no reason to sell the ketchup.

Shouldn't that say mayonnaise?
You might like this stuff. Our local Kroger started carrying it a month ago or so, and I like the taste. I used to top my ketchup with Sriracha as well, but this is pretty swell.I'm something of a Ketchup connoisseur...
Heinz: Spiciest of the name-brands. It's high vinegar and acid content ensures you don't actually need to refrigerate it (and doing so actually disrupts the 'spiciness' by interfering with the acid action).
But yes, I add Sriracha to my ketchup. I like the heat.
There is a middle aged man in Woodstock
Drinking Guiness and waiting out the clock
For the rain to stall
For the night to fall
Until he can go home and play with his cock
Here's a slightly modified version that adheres to the limerick structure:The syllables are messed up in that limerick. It does not flow well at all.
