I had not heard of this debacle, what went down? With the latest DX9 debacle, even computers that used to be able to run Crysis suddenly can’t.
Latest "Adrenalin" driver causes older DX9 games to be unplayableI had not heard of this debacle, what went down?
*Clicks on Video and watches for 30 seconds*I will never in my life be 1/1000 as good at building shit in Planet Coaster as this guy.
Ok wait, that's all buildable in Planet Coaster? Seriously? You can make shit like this?I will never in my life be 1/1000 as good at building shit in Planet Coaster as this guy.
Only if you're fucking crazy.Ok wait, that's all buildable in Planet Coaster? Seriously? You can make shit like this?
That's it, I'm getting this game.
The exact same things were going through my mind. As much as I loved this as an artistic creation in a video game, a part of me was always thing "well, this is never going to be done in real life... How long is the longest Disney ride anyway?" (Carousel of Progress, at about 20 minutes, but that's a very different beast. This is more Splash Mountain, which is ~11 minutes. Big Thunder Mountain and Space Mountain are both well under 4 minutes long)....The former ride operator in me would say, "no way they could run multiple trains on that ride. And half the doors wouldn't be usable IRL. And oh my GOD, how much land area would then NEED for that thing? A 14-minute RIDE? No way they'd be able to make up the profit on that."
It actually does care about ride queue theming as a function of how willing people are to wait in line. The exact same things were going through my mind. I wonder how much of the extravagant use of space was because it was the easiest way to make the ride, and how much was due to limitations of the game engine/interface. Also, I'm assuming that Planet Coaster doesn't count ride queue theming as part of the ride. A lot of that coaster's theme elements would be taken care of in the walk in to the cars at a Disney park, getting to the action quicker once you were actually on the ride.
Yeah, but if you're making a cool first-person video of the ride to put on the internet to show the whole experience, does it walk you through the queue first? It actually does care about ride queue theming as a function of how willing people are to wait in line.
It has a free cam so you can do it yourself.Yeah, but if you're making a cool first-person video of the ride to put on the internet to show the whole experience, does it walk you through the queue first?
Well, then I fault this guy for not doing that. Really, it was a very slow burn.It has a free cam so you can do it yourself.
Thanks for pitching in and doing Gas' job while he's out.
Furi is a boss rush game with brutal but fair mechanics. So if you like to git gud, it's a good game.[DOUBLEPOST=1515531985,1515531842][/DOUBLEPOST]Thanks for pitching in and doing Gas' job while he's out.
I have never heard of this FURI, I am now intrigued.
(watches the trailer)
Holy Hell, that gameplay looks punishing!

I've never understood the contempt that comes from some people and so called 'wall hangers' (note, I'm not saying this is from you, there's not enough in your post to tell if there's contempt or not, just in general)Pretty little wallhangers.
I have a thing against wall hangers, but mainly it's about wall hangers that are obviously poseurs. It's one thing to be actually artsy, and another to be utterly useless and baroque.I've never understood the contempt that comes from some people and so called 'wall hangers' (note, I'm not saying this is from you, there's not enough in your post to tell if there's contempt or not, just in general)
I've had a friend look at things I've bought before and mention "You know those are just wall hangers." What the fuck do you think I'm going to do with them, fight off feudal samurai?
As opposed to being useful for practicing swordplay with. Basically a wall hanger is a sword that's pretty but not suitable for martial arts practice or stage combat. They're usually made of some type of stainless steel, as opposed to carbon steel, and not balanced for use.Furi is a boss rush game with brutal but fair mechanics.
