So... what, HBOMax? Netflix? A24 doesn't have it's own platform.
I am giddy with anticipation for 10/19. I am fairly certain we will be meeting GosylnUpcoming Duck Tales Schedule
If so, she’ll have to have a new VA. I expect maybe Nancy Cartwright or Cree Summer.I am giddy with anticipation for 10/19. I am fairly certain we will be meeting Gosyln.
I am guessing she will have a Hispanic accent based on the character design I've seen. She has a similar feathering color as Fenton Crackshell-Cabrera and his mother.
"Netflix wanted to age-up the characters so they could have sex."
Everything I've seen in my 5 minutes of googling points back to this fandomwire article that cites only "sources within netflix" without naming names or providing links."Netflix wanted to age-up the characters so they could have sex."
Is there any substance to this rumor? Why hasn't Tumblr informed me of this yet?
Apparently the FandomWire article was written by a guy (Andy Signore) who's notorious for putting out made-up news to push his clickbait articles. He's been fired from more than one news outlet for it and some sexual abuse allegations.Everything I've seen in my 5 minutes of googling points back to this fandomwire article that cites only "sources within netflix" without naming names or providing links.
EXCLUSIVE: Why Avatar: The Last Airbender's Creators Really Left Netflix
Here's why the creators of Avatar: The Last Airbender really left the upcoming live action Netflix series. We have the exclusive details!fandomwire.com
Disney + doesn't have a great track record for getting episodes in exact air date order as it is, however the order is STILL weird due to the episode production order, Saturday morning specific episodes that aired only on ABC, and the syndicated episodes that aired on whatever local channel was running the Disney Afternoon lineup. Since a lot of episodes went to various studios (as was common practice back then) many episodes that were supposed to happen later in the timeline were completed earlier likely due to cheaper animation, and then promptly aired earlier. The syndicated episodes (65 of them), for example, were rushed out and basically considered Season 1, even though Saturday morning episodes (which on some lists are referred as Seasons 2 and 3) aired kinda around the same time. Disney + considers all of tje syndicated episodes and Season 2 as their "Season 1") and has all the Saturday Morning episodes at the back end of the season. Disney+'s Season 2 is basically what is considered Season 3, but still in a weird order.I've been rewatching Darkwing Duck, and I really only have two things to say:
1. The episode order is weird. The big team-up episode happens before any of the Justice Ducks get their individual introductions. Most of the villains appear before the episodes giving them their backstories, as well.
2. There's an "Invasion of the Body Snatchers" knock-off episode, and it also has alien cows from the planet Larson on the far side of the galaxy. Totally missed that reference when I was a kid.
Love BOTH of those shows, Can't wait for the finale of TLO next week, it's gonna get fucking NUTS! THEORIES:The Owl House
Did you like Gravity Falls and it's well developed story that started as mere background details before leading into an epic, worlds-spanning struggle? The Owl House is this, but with a bit of Changeling fantasy and not-Harry Potter thrown in. Luz is teenage girl who gets sucked into an alternate, magical world instead of going to summer camp and ends up as the live-in Apprentice to the Boiling Isle's most wanted witch and her familiar, the former King of Demons (voiced by Alex Hirsch of Gravity Falls). The stakes are both minimal and interesting: Luz can leave any time she wants (she even gets Wi-fi and cell reception through the door back to her world) but getting back to the Isles might not be easy and why go home when magic is real in the Boiling Isles? Besides, she's not supposed to be home from camp for a few weeks and she'd have to face her mother...
What follows from that premise is basically the Gravity Falls formula (which is unsurprising because Dana Terrace previously worked on Gravity Falls with Alex Hirsch and Hirsch is a Story consultant on this), where details slowly reveal themselves and compound until they hit you like a fucking semi, and when there is a major action sequence, expect the quality of the animation to go up significantly. Next week is the season finale, so it's a good time to catch up on the episodes. Season 2 is already in production.
While you're at it, maybe give Amphibia a watch too? Same idea, except the main character can't get home and has to find her missing friends in a world dominated by (usually) friendly Frog/Toad/Newt people alongside the family of frog farmers she's staying with. This has a distinctly Legend of Zelda vibe to it and is pretty great too, though the two shows have a very different tone. Watch for Alex Hirsch's guest star a Frog Grunkle Stan and Frog Soos!
All I saw was self-sustaining outrage.Holy shit the She-Ra fandom is toxic. I'm not even sure what happened because of how much melodrama, hyperbole, strawmen, hearsay, etc. is being thrown around. All I know is that there was a livestream where the show's crew talked about the show, something that could be interpreted as racist was said, Noelle Stephenson apologized for that, but the fandom has at least a half-dozen other complaints, one of which seems to be that a male member of production crew read the name of a podcast off of a list. Even that I'm not certain of, and anything more is a confusing mess.
WHAT.
Good, great, excellent.
Keep taking 2020. You won't be happy until there's nothing. Fucking. Left.
Doc Hammer has had severe health problems and has been sick, off and on, for years. Amongst these is Ménière's Disease, which has no cure and prevents him from flying. It's one of the chief reasons why production of the series takes so long and... I can't really blame a guy for being sick.First thought was FUCK ADULT SWIM. Another good series squandered, and probably locked in a vault, like Megas XLR and Sym-bionic Titan.
Second thought though... "Wait, you were told MONTHS ago, and the only reason we're finding out now is because Ken Plume broke the silence with a cryptic tweet? Were you just going to let us hold on to hope forever?"
Third thought.. "Wait... you were told months ago... while STILL WRITING season 8... TWO YEARS after season 7 ended? Maybe that's why it got cancelled..."
Don't even get me started with Amazon and Altered Carbon: those assholes kept The Boys over The Tick, despite The Tick covering many of the same themes in thoughtful, hilarious ways without any of the cynicism.Because if it doesn't print money, why keep it?
c.f. Altered Carbon, She-Ra, NOS4A2, Kidding, The Hollow, God Friended Me, etc.
