The EPIC WIN Thread 3: SON OF EPIC

My self-described Redneck Brother hosted a successful MLK breakfast yesterday. We also got to see some friends that we lost contact with 20 years ago.

So double post I know:

Girlfriend texts me: Wed - We're getting together with her best friends (married couple, husband plays WoW) for dinner/drinks. Then blows me away by saying that this upcoming weekend, she wants to bring over her computer, after transferring her characters to my server, and play a little WoW at night side by side with me while the kids are asleep.

I don't even know what to say at this point, this girl is amazing, perfect and surprises the hell out of me.

Ok, so I went on a trip to Biloxi with the fella. I did my weekly weigh-in this morning, figuring that I made no progress (all you can eat seafood buffets, you see...). Turns out I lost more weight. I did the math, and this actually puts me past the 50 pound mark. I still have about 20-25 pounds to go until I'm back to my normal weight, but this is very encouraging. Sorry I've been talking about this so much... it's just exciting.

No, sir. I tried all the short cuts you could imagine before finally getting serious. Slow and steady truly does win the race. :)

Double post = bad I know, but I had to share:

Tonight in casual conversation, we're lying in bed, re-watching American Psycho when she says "You know what we should do for Halloween this year? You should dress up as the Joker and I should dress up as Harley Quinn"

...... we didn't pay much attention to the movie after that.

I'm going on my first vacation in 3 years to meet an old friend who I haven't seen in nearly 25 years. And it's going to get me out of the hellish cold that is Saskatchewan into the not-so-hellish cold that is Texas.
Woot!

Here in Texas, near Houston, the high is 68F (20C). Pretty darn nice, I'm going to sit on the porch and get some sun.

Tomorrow night, however, the low is going to be 23F (-5C). That's a pretty huge drop in less than 48 hours. Below freezing is cold.

We're expecting a foot of snow over the next two days, and temperatures dropping to [what feels like] -19C.

This is blizzardtown.

That's me. Laughing at all of you.
Right now at 10:30-ish am it is 75F (24C), sunny and breezy. High temps around 80F (26C). Lows around 68F (20C). We might get rain on Friday.

I'm kinda psyched for classes to be cancelled. Balls that I still have to go in tonight though. It be chilly son.

-31 when I left for school this AM. Agh.

Also this year we've had more snow than Edmonton's seen in years and school wasn't cancelled. Pansies.

It was so cold this morning when I was walking to class. I nearly passed out as my head and brain started to freeze. The air was almost painful to breath, being very cold and feeling heavy.

I live in the BC mountains. We don't get the blistering cold of you flatlanders. -10 here was cold enough for me thanks :)
