That's adorable. Especially with your avatar.
Got a notification today. I'll get it back around the 20th of this month. That's better than I thought. They said that some rings can take up to 6 weeks depending on how backed up they are and how complicated the design is.

Asked out a female friend.
Got rejected.
Like a boss?

At least she didn't tell me "you'll find the right girl some day." I irrationally hate that phrase so much for some reason.

I went and got my eyebrows waxed today. Holy hell did that hurt! It has never hurt that bad before and I include the time they ripped my actual skin off.

Goddamn. Ow.

I caught a cold from my sister last weekend. All week I was coughing and sneezing and had some serious drippage, but the past three days have been just... gross. The colour, the consistency, the.... quantity. Blech. Anyway that's why I'm at home today, posting here inbetween naps rather than being at work getting everyone else sick too.

Fuck this winter so far. First half of it was mild, warm and because of that icy as fuck from all the melting and freezing of snow and rain. Shitty, shitty, shitty. Now, to make up for lost time, the temperature has dropped 20 degrees (celcius) and it's been either a blizzard or the calm before another blizzard. This shit is truly the worst.

Funny how we were dying of drought and a massive heatwave just a few months ago eh Gas?

Indeed - in fact, the thought that kept me going through all that was remembering and looking forward to my next 70-degree Christmas.

I'd rather live in a wintery hell hole than a desert like one.

I hate temperatures higher than about 25 degrees C.

Even though I like living in Texas, I'd tend to agree. You can always put more clothes ON, there comes a point where you can't take any more OFF. Also, while there is such a thing as "closed due to snow," "closed due to heat" is much rarer.

oh pish posh, i dont find either of those to be extremes, I complain when we drop to -20° F or go over 95° F those are extremes. then again I am born and bred Minnesotan! :D

although 95 wont seem hot to you in the south, imagine it with 100% humdity

I was worried that going back to Colorado last month, I'd be all wussy about the cold. I was pleasantly surprised - all the locals were constantly bundled up while I enjoyed the brisk, 20-someodd degree weather with nothing more substantial than a hoodie. Didn't much care for the ice on all the roads though.

I do my field work at this time of year in a hoodie, its not that bad. when it goes below zero I grab a jacket and gloves, just for the walking. take the gloves off when I am working on something.

We're in some kind of chinook here in the mountains of BC. Unseasonably warm while the rest of BC gets battered by record snow dumps. Kind of refreshing.
