I do have to say, it is slightly bizarre to feel so strongly about a lack of trotting in Assassin's Creed equestrianism. It's like saying, "Skyrim makes me mad because when I draw my sword, I can't see my character's face in the reflection of the blade." It's technically true, but... well... you're kinda missing the point of the game.Every one tells me that Assassin's Creed games past the first one are such huge improvements but I'm trying to play the first one to get to the later ones and it makes me so mad. WHY ARE YOU ANGRY AT ME? Why am I not allowed to trot on horseback? Not run or sprint, just light press forward on the stick trot.
So instead, I will play some Alan Wake: American Nightmare.
Oh, ok, I think you thought I meant I couldn't trot as in I technically couldn't. I can. Trotting is in fact the default speed of the horse. But apparently in the holy lands there, anyone trotting on horseback must be immediately killed on sight. I had a soldier freak the fuck out and try to kill me because he walked into the ass of my horse. It's really God damn insane.I do have to say, it is slightly bizarre to feel so strongly about a lack of trotting in Assassin's Creed equestrianism. Yeah, but it's by the shitty SOCOM team.If you like Socom, yes. It has a good bit of Res-Ev lore in it, but it is definitely not canonical.
which is nice...You get to kill Leon at least
I like the way that the folks at giant bomb described it. They said that Dragon's Dogma is like the exact opposite of Skyrim. Everything Skyrim does great(engaging story and world), Dragon's Dogma does terribly. But everything that Skyrim does badly (combat, character animation), Dragon's Dogma does great.Yeah I gave Dragons Dogma a shot. The character customizing and animations are way better than Skyrim.
If they make a PC version, I'll buy it.
Wait, you didn't like Skyrim's combat?I like the way that the folks at giant bomb described it. They said that Dragon's Dogma is like the exact opposite of Skyrim. It was extremely clunky sometimes, yes.Wait, you didn't like Skyrim's combat?
That honestly sounds like the most boring game ever. You guys were clearly playing a different game than I was - mine being where 95% of things I fought died to a single powerattack. Those that didn't fell to the mighty shieldbashing stunlock.
That is, the ones I didn't just one-shot from range with stealthed archery.
Sorry but anyone who says melee combat in Skyrim is clunky gets a solid nope.Overreact much?
Skyrim is still beating out Diablo 3 as my favorite game of the year, but yeah, combat is clunky, get over it. Just because I can successfully overcome it's clunkyness doesn't mean it's not there.
Trust me, if you don't remember trying to defeat Sir Roderick the Chaos Knight, you don't know what clunky controls are.Skyrim is still beating out Diablo 3 as my favorite game of the year, but yeah, combat is clunky, get over it. Just because I can successfully overcome it's clunkyness doesn't mean it's not there.
GB, if you're one shotting everything, that wouldn't have anything to do with skill.
