[Other] The not so funny pic thread (some NSFL or gore)

I post whenever I have a thought about something. Which apparently happens every other month or so. My rare rare thoughtful thinking thoughts.

I post whenever I feels, and on this thread in particular when I find a weird picture!

Anyone remember this dude? I saw him in the Guinnes Book of world records years ago and JUST remembered it. This man underwent surgery in order to look like this. This isn't make-up, this is his permanent face. And people think furries take animal worship too far.

I believe he goes by the name "Stalking Cat"
(does quick Google search)
...Yep, confirmed. He can also be found by the name "Dennis Avner"

Hmm. According to Wikepedia, he's from my home State. Last I knew, he was having some health problems, dunno if they were resolved or even related to his mods.

...I just thought of something about Stalking Cat. He got plastic surgery...to make him look like an animal. He's a super-villain isn't he? It all checks out because if it happens in comics it must be true. Well *clap* I'll be waiting to tape his supervillain demand and upload them to Youtube.

Ok, this was the ad at the top of the page. WTF?

I realize there are people for whom this would be a boon, but I would expect most of them would already understand how to use cotton cloth, Gold Bond, or wardrobe adjustments to combat this epidermic epidemic.

I think this is pretty incredible:

Neil deGrasse Tyson has found the red star of Krypton, and apparently it's real!

Yes, the rumors are true. This past week in Action Comics 14, I helped Superman find his home planet Krypton. But more importantly, in real life, DC comics now has a star on the sky -- the right distance and the right color -- to serve as Superman's home star system.

If you are amateur-astronomy-fluent, the star is: LHS 2520

J2000
RA: 12h 10m 5.77s
Dec: -15d 04m 17.9s

Proper Motion: 0.76 arcsec/yr
Position Angle: 172.94 degrees

Spectral Class: M3.5 V
Color: Red
Temp: 3000 kelvins

Distance: 27.1 (+/- 8) light years
