Why hasn't the CDC updated this page yet? https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/cases-in-us.html
As long as you're working alone I would think you're ok. This mostly seems to be spreading by getting breathed on. They keep saying that there are no proven cases of surface transmissions. And today, IT has been deemed "essential personnel" and so I have to be at work while everyone else is out. Which, honestly, I am ok with for now. It will allow me to get a lot of the bigger issues taken care of while all the teachers are out.
maybe in the USA, but there have been several confirmed cases in Europe and China. Virus can survive up to 10 hours on surfaces. As long as you're working alone I would think you're ok. They’re afraid Trump will fire them if they do.Why hasn't the CDC updated this page yet? https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/cases-in-us.html
Here too. I had to give a training this morning at a customer site. Everyone in attendance was 55+. They came in making jokes about social distancing and making a show of sitting as far apart from each other as possible, and rolling their eyes and "whatever"ing. "It'll never get here."It's the old folks here who don't seem concerned. My dad gave me shit about being as concerned as I was about it. God damn it old man I'm not the one who will die.
Personally I have stopped getting food that I can't (or don't enjoy) eat after nuking it in the microwave. Wash my hands after handling the container, just in case, and then reheat the food before eating. So that means I wont be getting hamburgers or subs for a while. But still might get chinese food, pizza or tacos as I like those just fine after reheating them. I just don't want to risk eating room temperature buns, or whatever, that's been breathed on all day.Can someone enlighten me on the wisdom of ordering in right now? I thought we were concerned about restaurant staff going in and carrying or being sick. They have to make the food. Someone has to package it, deliver it. Why is this considered still okay?
I genuinely want to know because I've been dying for the spicy Korean chicken place that opened recently and only got to order it once before all this started.
You could do the same thing, except about backing up your data due to HDD failure.Me: "You will. I will. We all will. It's long past the point of not getting it.
It's only a matter of time before we exclude the USA. Because like today we worked with our embassies and foreign allies before announcing. It's gonna more diplomacy before we cut them off entirely.Looks like international travel bans and no one not a Canadian or PR of Canada is allowed in the country, except a few exemptions including US citizens. Feels like too little, hopefully not too late. The community spread now is my biggest concern personally. This does little to nothing to address that.
It has updated:Why hasn't the CDC updated this page yet? https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/cases-in-us.html
HE HAS LEUKEMIA!! He's immunosuppressed! If ANYONE should be worried, it's this guy. Now, I'm not saying I want something to happen to him, but if anyone deserves it, it's this guy. Jeff, you're normally a really smart guy. WHY YOU BEING SO FUCKING DUMB?!?
I guess not admitting you're in danger is a way of coping with being in danger. It's the old folks here who don't seem concerned. My dad gave me shit about being as concerned as I was about it. God damn it old man I'm not the one who will die.
Yes they post numbers after the markets close. It has updated:
Total confirmed cases has more than doubled over the weekend.
- Total cases: 3,487
- Total deaths: 68
- Jurisdictions reporting cases: 53 (49 states, District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, Guam, and US Virgin Islands)
No I totally understand not locking the states out immediately. 100% makes sense. I used to live in Windsor and am aware, at least partially, the ramifications some thing like that would entail. It's only a matter of time before we exclude the USA. After listening to the American update, it's pretty clear that the USA is looking to score points by closing the border first. So we may have to suck it up and let the wookie win.No I totally understand not locking the states out immediately. 100% makes sense. I'm still referring to not mandating those that can work from home to do so.
You go back and forth, usually.Turn UP the thermostat. With a fever you feel cold. Right?
I just want you to know that posting a picture like that with a dog in it is entrapment for bad racist jokes about Chinese cuisine.Jun want into panic mode and wanted us to stock up on 4-6 weeks worth of food/supplies. Hit the grocery store and Asian market and somehow managed to fit everything in there---after she meticulously organized it

His doctors have explained his situation to him, right? Not necessarily in relation to this, but in general? I’ve been at my infusions before and because of the number and nature of my treatments have been told to go home and stop nowhere. My daughter posted this on Facebook.

My brother in law responded: "Yeah, still not real concerned."
