Just got back from urgent care...story time:
So about a month ago, I got what appeared to be a blister on the underside of my index finger. At first, I thought it was from crocheting, until I realized that I don't really touch that part of my finger with anything while stitching. Now, I'm guessing maybe a spider bite.
I lanced it...some clear stuff came out, and then it bled like a stuck pig for 3 days. I wrapped it up really good, and finally the bleeding stopped, and so I unbandaged it so it could dry out and heal.
Several days after that, I was working around the apt, and ripped the skin off. It looked more swollen than ever, and simply wouldn't stop bleeding. And by "wouldn't stop bleeding" I mean--for 2 weeks. If I had it bandaged a little firmly, it wouldn't soak the bandage--but as soon as I took it off each day to change it out, it'd just start leaking immediately.
So I went to urgent care (just got back), and she goes "yeah, it's swollen, because your meat is hanging out..you've lost the entire subcutaneous layer". So she cauterizes it with silver nitrate and tells me "you'll never be a hand model now." heh.
