No no... people get a Liberated Borg Officer and Liberated Borg as a race when they become lifers. It's not another side like the Klingons.
how does that work? aren't we fighting the liberated borg? (It seems like it since the tutorial said they were "different")No no... people get a Liberated Borg Officer and Liberated Borg as a race when they become lifers. It's not another side like the Klingons.

My cruiser is built entirely around being nigh invincible. Both of my engineering slots have emergency power to shields. I've been able to wade through everything and come out the victor without barely taking a scratch. The Klingons I've fought in PVP can't handle me without more than one ship because my cruiser is a total juggernaut.Got my cruiser yesterday. It honestly seems like this game is geared toward ether being an Escort and being tied to teams forever or being a Cruiser/Science Vessel and being able to solo EVERYTHING on your own. I hope the roles become less defined later on or they make being a DPS more viable in solo play.
You can solo some stuff on your own as DPS. You simply mix and match. Instead of going Tactical/Tactical (toon/ship) you go like Tactical/Engineering or Tactical/Science. Plus your skills and ship loadout plays a role too. And trust me, the PvE scales up as you do. I mean you can solo but the game is built more around Fleets or at the very least, parties.Got my cruiser yesterday. Not only did I already post this a page or so ago, I also spoilered it for people. Way to go chief.holy fucking shit
There's a quest for the Portal..
You fight off half a dozen squads of Klingons, then you talk to it, and it sounds just like the voice actor from the show. It continues the quest, and you get transported 200 years back in time to save the Enterprise! You hail the ship and it's fucking Leonard Nimoy as Spock that answers in voice over! nerdgasm..
omg I can't wait for the game to start on the 29th, go go headstart from pre order!
Post-TNG, and post-Nero, if that makes sense, so Romulus has gone kablooie. The relaunch is a parallel universe. What is the setting of the game? Post TNG or the Relaunch?
It takes place in regular Star Trek timeline some time after Romulus is wiped out by the supernova. So, it basically takes place in the future of the rebooted universe?

Nope. Future of the original, after the events that led to the rebooted universe's creation. So, it basically takes place in the future of the rebooted universe?
Those are advanced tiers of 'cruiser' - tiers three and four of five, respectively. The ground-level cruiser is an updated 25th-century Constitution. Are they going to go up to the Battleship size vessels like Galaxy and Sovereign classes?
So, they stole the plans of the NX-1... lol. That is why they looked so much alike.Huh. A trip through Memory Alpha (almost as dangerous as TVTropes) just told me that the in-universe origin of the Bird of Prey was stolen Federation ship designs. In fact, there was planned (and later cut) dialogue to that effect in the original Balance of Terror episode.
I like it a lot. I think it has potential, but not sure of the "long term" (in terms of what it will be 3-4 years from now heck even 2 years from now. I'm hoping to last at LEAST 16 months to make my money's worth heheh)So are folks much more approving of the current build?
