Steam patch yesterday gave it updated "visuals," makes it look more like the stupid "flat colored rectangles" fad that seems to be infecting every OS these days.
I didn't notice much of a difference. A few color changes, but it's mostly the same as it's been for months.

The changes are most apparent in the "friend coming online" notifications, the chat window, and the system tray icon itself (has gone from a black square with rounded corners to a circle with a blue gradient background)

If you play mostly in big picture mode, it probably doesn't look out of place to you, as they say they did it to make regular mode look more like big picture mode.

Anyone involved in coding, designing, planning or approving Dungeon Keeper mobile should be tried at the Hague for crimes against humanity, then sentenced to death by pressing.

I don't see why they'd put in Jigglypuff when they could do someone like Mr. Game and Watch or something new. But yeah... we're probably getting Ness and Ganondorf, maybe even the Ganondorf from the new Hyrule Warriors.
I know you don't see why, but they're still going to put in Jigglypuff, if only out of legacy.

I really hope it's Hyrule Warriors Ganondorf and not Captain Falcon-clone Ganondorf.

Was reading some Mass Effect 4 article (they won't call it that... OK ... UH HUH)

Then I checked comments.... saw this picture amongst them... I nodded and remembered that Bioware is not to be trusted anymore. They half assed attempts to convince us that our choice matters is so lame to hear I actually cringe AT THEM. Sad

Via Bluesnews:

A tweet from Friday by Marcus "Notch" Persson shows the Minecraft creator has backed off on his hard line against adding Oculus Rift support to the sandbox mining game, saying: "And about now I'm officially over being upset about Facebook buying Oculus. I'm upset about there being a hole in my favorite sock instead." When it was announced Facebook was acquiring Oculus in March, Notch famously tweeted he was cancelling plans for Oculus Rift support, saying "Facebook creeps me out." When asked if this means plans for Oculus Rift support were back in place, Notch said "that's up to the minecraft dev team." For his part, John Carmack seems willing to help, tweeting an offer of support: "say the word, ship the source, and i'll make sure It runs well on you-know-what..." Thanks GameSpot.

Good news Sims fans, it sounds like Sims 4 is SO GOOD that EA doesn't want any reviewers touching it until after it launches. That's ALWAYS good news right?[DOUBLEPOST=1408401297,1408401190][/DOUBLEPOST]

He's a reasonable guy. I could understand his trepidation with it after the Facebook buyout. He waited some time to see how it would affect the company, saw that Facebook owning it hasn't been the worst thing and got over it.

Welp, it's a good thing they gave away Sims 2 and all its expansions for free! Given that it probably runs better on my notebook than Sims 3, I'm tempted to do my own Halforums House.

Eh, it was via origin. That's like saying a clap-ridden prostitute gave you sex for free. There may not have been money changing hands, but there's a cost.

That's most of the reason I don't regret missing it...and 100% of the reason I didn't grab it right when it was offered.

Ditto. Plus I've never seen the appeal of the Sims anyway.
Well, I see the appeal. It's an interesting human-flavored fishbowl/social simulator experiment, most of the time. Heck, you've seen the appeal, you participated in Halforums Academy! Same deal, less moon people.

I just wish the admin tools for Artificial Academy 2 would get to where I want them to be! It's holding up Halforums Academy 2!

Possible leaked screenshot of Smash Bros character roster. I'm not claiming it's true or not, although I saw another screenshot of a battle where Ganondorf and Shulk were the red team that looked pretty legit. If it's not, someone took the time to SSB-convert their character designs. As for this screenshot, I don't know. It was posted with other more confirmable leaks, such as mode screens and stuff, and it's easy to just put pictures into an arrangement like this. Still, I'm gonna post it and let it be up to group scrutiny.

Yes, that is the Duck Hunt dog. I find it hard to believe that clone Dr. Mario would be in there either, or Dark Pit from Kid Icarus: Uprising, although they kind of hinted at that when they said Pit wouldn't get a dark palette (plus, KI:U is another of Sakurai's games, so I can't be surprised if he shows it favor). Other than those, the rest don't seem farfetched to me, not even Shulk. I don't know though. Japan will get the game a couple weeks before the rest of us, so we won't really have concrete full roster info until then. No guarantee Sakurai will even announce all the characters before release.

But man it would be satisfying to kick the shit out of that Duck Hunt dog.

Doesn't that make the the roster as big or bigger than Brawl? I thought they said it would be smaller because they wanted to fit all the same fighters on each version?

If they wanted the roster to be smaller, they would need to say the roster is final right now. Currently there are only two less than Brawl, and you know they're not done yet. So odds are they're going over. THAT much over? No idea.

That screenshot has 48 characters, which is 9 more than Brawl, 11 more than where we are right now.

I feel like if Shulk or the Duck Hunt dog were going to be in it, they'd have been announced by now, but really Sakurai is an unpredictable guy and I have no idea. The image just seemed moderately plausible, more so than other stuff. It doesn't have Ridley on it, for starters. Much as I'd love Ridley to be in, he is huge and it wasn't going to happen.
