I know, I'm merely pointing out that a person in authority claiming no-one feels attacked/belittled/criticized because no-one's reporting it is not dissimilar to plantation owners claiming their slaves are happy and content because none ever complains to them. How's that for a Charlie metaphor
That's exaggerated, but it
is somewhat similar to claiming, say, rape incidence is low because rape reporting is low. There are often huge barriers to reporting - more often than not in the mind of the victim, about not being believed, not wanting to be a bother, not wanting to direct attention towards their "abnormality" (be that what it may and meaning no judgment), and so on. It's very hard to judge such things from the outside.
We have some fairly forthright/outspoken gay people on here. We have a T-girl admin and used to have a gay one (err, I dunno, is Green Lantern still around?). Even so, people can still have the feeling the administrators are The Man. It's one of those privilege things, I guess.
