I highly doubt that Idaho is the only place a scene just like that has played out, and even if it is the first, there will be copycats.

New CDC Guidelines: Fully vaccinated people can meet with other fully vaccinated people.
- Visit with other fully vaccinated people indoors without wearing masks or staying 6 feet apart.
- Visit with unvaccinated people from one other household indoors without wearing masks or staying 6 feet apart if everyone in the other household is at low risk for severe disease.
- Refrain from quarantine and testing if they do not have symptoms of COVID-19 after contact with someone who has COVID-19.

The japanese government decided to not allow foreign spectators to enter Japan. Paid tickets will be refunded. Same goes for the paralympics.

Pffft, strict. Museums are open, zoos are open, parks are open, everybody has to work, even non-essential shops are open (only by appointment though).
Only one person allowed to visit at a time, only one designated person per family.
WFH is obligatory for all jobs that allow it.
Schools are closing one week early for a longer Easter vacation; preschool is still open.
Hospitality is all closed down (restaurants, hotels, cafes - though take away and delivery is allowed); non-medical contact services (hair dressers, tattoo shops, beauty salons etc) are closed again (were open for...one week? Two?).
No non-essential travel abroad (which, given the size of the country, equates more or less to "no leaving the state" for Americans).
Outside, maximum meetings of 4 people (down from 10 - again, this was for like one week) with masks and distance.
Evening clock - no non-essential movement allowed - between midnight and 5AM.
Night shops have to close at 10PM, no alcohol sales after 8PM.

Everybody and their dog is getting pretty sick of it, though - in contrast to other countries, we've been going more-or-less like this since November. No hard lockdowns, no real third wave, just the slow start of one as people relax and don't stick to the rules as closely.
More and more people are willing to take it anymore, though - compare to Germany where Merkel had to walk back her Easter lockdown. There's lots of grumbling and slowly, more civic disobedience.
