Oh yeah, my bosses could really stretch the definition of our company to be essential too. It'd be pretty bs though and I'm glad they didn't actually try.Well, we're not a data center, per se. And the parts of our company (the networking stuff) which probably would fulfill the "essential services" requirement is maybe 10% of our business, and staffed by 4 people.
But the COO wants them to be the excuse why our much-more-lucrative AV department remains open and working, doing conference room, classroom, courtroom, public venue etc Audio/Video systems. Which is a little more of a stretch to call "essential."
Maryland did too.New York State explicitly put data centers as an essential business in their order.
They forgot "Out of an abundance of caution" (translation: "this is the smart thing to do, but we don't want to appear weak/scaremongering, nor do we want to imply that we have to shut down because someone amidst our ranks has tested positive in the last XX days")
So much for "All Lives Matter" and "Pro-Life" stances, huh?
His concern will solve itself soon.
I know that. You know that. They don't seem to want to believe it.It's not going to be one million poor people. It's going to be 5 or even 8 million people from every walk of life. It could collapse the economy completely.
Hah, I try not to

Yeah my conservative friends are saying that they didn't listen to the president because they took the wrong thing. Chloroquine phosphate instead of the anti-malarial drug chloroquine.
