Failure dropped as well. The thing is, most modern bands have been contemplating dropping Spotify because they pay for shit. I know the biggest names haven't jumped on yet, but considering what they pay, they maybe should join in. They wouldn't be losing money they would notice.Neil Young, Joni Mitchell, Crosby, Stills & Nash....I like all these artists, and all, but they do have something in common about their popularity I'm afraid.
The generation they appeal to is probably the same one that makes up the majority of Rogan's audience, though.they do have something in common about their popularity
Funny enough, but they actually hold a lot more clout in the music industry right now then we assume. I thought we talked about this study in some thread, but I'll mention it here, too:Neil Young, Joni Mitchell, Crosby, Stills & Nash....I like all these artists, and all, but they do have something in common about their popularity I'm afraid.
It makes sense, when I start up the radio even on the general stations, a good 50% or more of the music is from the 90s or earlier. Every now and then you get a few from the 00s and then once in a blue moon something like Blinding Lights from The Weeknd might come on. It was something I was thinking about after maybe the tenth time I heard Everlong in a week and I remember listening to that song in high school.Old music is still generating more money than new music in the industry right now. There's been a huge decline in the $$$ of new music in the past decade.
What the ever-living fuck?!?In case Americans are wondering, they're being allowed to build a fucking wooden shanty town across from City Hall with stockpiles of diesel and shit now. The Sons of Anarchy, sorry, I meant Soldiers of Odin dude is apparently in charge now.
You laugh, but there's some thought that the idea of owning a physical CD/LP/cassette that can be played and replayed does a lot towards establishing the permanence of a song in a person's mind, while music that has to be streamed is more ephemeral and so does not bury itself as deeply in someone's memory.My best guess is that we grew up with TV and music being the only real content we could consume, so we got really into our tapes (and then CDs). Kids for awhile now have been more into watching silly shit on youtube, and so they are getting less and less interested in music as a whole from their own generation, instead only listen to the music their parents are blaring in their garage.
The oboe may be barely breathingI wonder if one day kids might learn about pop music in school the way we learned about sonnets.
Just when I think Kenney couldn't possibly be a bigger moron, he proves me wrong.We're about to scrap all restrictions in Alberta, since as our Premier put it "Declining hospital numbers"

Yeah, but they're women, they were created to be muzzled and they only use half the muscles and brains of normal people so of course they won't notice as much.
...I....I would hope I was clear enough that I was being sarcastic/voicing the "opinion" of the "specialists" who have problems keeping a mask over their face for 5 minutes.@Bubble181 - I wouldn't want to try to get the puck against Hayley Wickenheiser in the corners.
Playing multiple roles all by yourself while each character metaphorically represents an abstract concept so that you can have conversations with the personifications of these abstractions is TIGHT!
That first map is completely useless because it's pegged off the top of the scale, and the second part doesn't have enough granularity for any kind of meaningful comparison to the first scale.
Through these new powers the government is:
- Enabling the RCMP to have the jurisdiction to enforce municipal bylaws and provincial offenses;
- Permitting police to impose fines or imprisonment on those taking part in a public assembly where it’s considered illegal;
- Designating secure and protected places and infrastructure that are critical to the economy such as border crossings and airports;
- Compelling those capable to render essential services, so in this case ordering tow truck drivers to move vehicles blocking roads; and
- Financial institutions will be authorized or directed to regulate and prohibit the use of property to fund or support these protests.
